About Regency Mint
Regency Mint has been in business for over two decades. The company was founded in 1999, and actually started in a garage. Regency Mint is a family-owned business with the goal of providing each client quality products with a personal touch that is lacking from so many other companies.
Soon after opening, Regency Mint grew is popularity. Today, they produce more than 160,000 medallions each month.
However, despite their growth, they still strive to keep their customers front and center. They are an ISO 9001:2015-certfied company. This certification points to their high value of creating and delivering quality products for each customer.
Regency Mint is also a member of the American Numismatic Association (ANA). Their website lists them as having an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau. However, when you visit the Better Business Bureau's website, it says the company is not rated.
Customers who have questions can contact Regency Mint to get the answers they need. The website lists a contact number and an email; there is no live chat option.
While Regency Mint specializes more in custom and more unique precious metals, they do also offer some gold bullion coins and bars for investors. If purchasing gold from Regency Mint, they have a minimum purchase amount of 10 ounces. Below are the different gold bullion pieces available:
Regency Mint also offers silver bullion coins, bars, and rounds. The available options include:
Copper bullion is gaining more popularity with investors. Since it is considerably less expensive than silver or gold, investing in copper bullion is also easier for many individuals, while still allowing them to diversify their portfolios. Below are some of the different copper rounds available from Regency Mint:
One thing that makes Regency Mint unique from most other precious metals investment companies is the opportunity to purchase custom coins. The ability to create a custom coin to commemorate a special event or memory for yourself or a loved one is pretty amazing.

Are There Any Red Flags for Regency Mint?
Reading through reviews from past customers can alert you to potential red flags with how a company does business and treats its customers. A lack of reviews about a company can also be a red flag since you're not really able to get a full picture of the business. When compiling information for this article, we looked to find ratings for Regency Mint from some of the most trusted online review sites.
We checked with the Better Business Bureau, Business Consumer Alliance, TrustLink, and Trustpilot. We were only able to find a rating from the Business Consumer Alliance; there were no reviews on any of the other sites.
Is Regency Mint a Scam?
Now for the big question: Is Regency Mint a scam? No, it does not appear to be a scam. Since the company has been in business since 1999, it seems hard to believe they would have lasted this long if they were not legitimate.
Now, while they are not a scam, they still may not be the best company to choose when you're looking to purchase precious metals. First, considering they have been in business for over 20 years, there are hardly any reviews out there for them. This leaves you to wonder a lot of questions about what goes on at the company and whether or not they provide excellent service and products to their customers.
While it is cool that Regency Mint mints some of their own bars and rounds and offers custom minting, heir selection of more popular gold and silver bullion is not very extensive at all.
Regency Mint offers copper coins and bullion, which is unique from many other precious metals investment companies, but it does not provide you with the opportunity to invest in platinum or palladium. If you are interested in holding either of these rare precious metals in your portfolio, Regency Mint isn't the best company to choose.
Another downside to Regency Mint is that they cannot help you set up a Precious Metals IRA. This service is offered by many other precious metals investment companies and offers you the chance to diversify your portfolio while preparing for retirement.
If you've been trying to decide whether Regency Mint is worthy of your business, we'd advise you to go with another precious metals investment company. The lack of reviews from past customers about Regency Mint leaves too many unanswered questions about the company and the services they offer. Regency Mint's selection of coins and bars is also not an impressive as what you'll find if you choose one of the more reputable companies out there.
Although we do think that Regency Mint is a decent company, we believe that there are better companies out there to make your investment with.
