Is Regency Mint a Scam?

Regency Mint Review

Now for the big question: Is Regency Mint a scam? No, it does not appear to be a scam. Since the company has been in business since 1999, it seems hard to believe they would have lasted this long if they were not legitimate.

Now, while they are not a scam, they still may not be the best company to choose when you're looking to purchase precious metals. First, considering they have been in business for over 20 years, there are hardly any reviews out there for them. This leaves you to wonder a lot of questions about what goes on at the company and whether or not they provide excellent service and products to their customers.

While it is cool that Regency Mint mints some of their own bars and rounds and offers custom minting, heir selection of more popular gold and silver bullion is not very extensive at all.

Regency Mint offers copper coins and bullion, which is unique from many other precious metals investment companies, but it does not provide you with the opportunity to invest in platinum or palladium. If you are interested in holding either of these rare precious metals in your portfolio, Regency Mint isn't the best company to choose.

Another downside to Regency Mint is that they cannot help you set up a Precious Metals IRA. This service is offered by many other precious metals investment companies and offers you the chance to diversify your portfolio while preparing for retirement.

Features

  • Regency Mint was founded in 1999.
  • The company works hard to put the needs of each customer first and strives to deliver top-quality metals.
  • You can invest in gold, silver, and copper bullion.
  • Regency Mint also offers customer minting to create your own unique coins.
  • Gold, silver, copper, and brass blanks are also available for sale.

Pros:

  • Regency Mint will work with you to create custom coins to commemorate special occasions or memories.
  • They also offer investors the option to purchase copper bullion, which most other companies do not.
  • Regency Mint has over two decades of experience in the precious metals industry.

Cons:

  • There are barely any customer reviews online.
  • You cannot set up a Precious Metals IRA with Regency Mint.
  • They don't offer a very large selection of bullion coins and bars.

Final Verdict

If you've been trying to decide whether Regency Mint is worthy of your business, we'd advise you to go with another precious metals investment company. The lack of reviews from past customers about Regency Mint leaves too many unanswered questions about the company and the services they offer. Regency Mint's selection of coins and bars is also not an impressive as what you'll find if you choose one of the more reputable companies out there.

Although we do think that Regency Mint is a decent company, we believe that there are better companies out there to make your investment with.
